Andrew Halliday is a winger, born on 11 October 1991 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Andrew’s youth career took off in the academy of local Rangers. The footballer showed impressive performance and managed to adapt to the junior level really soon. In 2006, he moved to the youth system of Livingston and spent three years preparing for a professional start.
In 2009, Halliday penned his first senior contract and clinched a regular place in the starting line-up at once. He became the pivot of the team and amassed 15 goals in 44 matches during his début season, which became a very good result for the winger.
English side Middlesbrough could not go past the opportunity to secure Andrew’s services on permanent basis and lodged a tempting bid for the footballer. However, the new atmosphere required more experience, and Halliday was sent on loan to Walsall in 2011. The winger made seven appearances for the temporary club during his spell and returned to ‘Smoggies’. In 2014 Halliday was loaned to Blackpool.
