Andy Keogh is a striker of Millwall. He was born on 16 May 1986 in Dublin, Ireland.
Andy started his professional performance in English side Leeds United in 2003, when he graduated from the academy of the club. Despite his potential and positive reviews from several pundits, the footballer failed to make any appearances for ‘The Peacocks’ during two seasons. In 2004, he went on loan to Scunthorpe United and netted two goals in 12 fixtures for the team during his spell. In 2005, Keogh sealed a temporary deal with Bury and fired two goals in four games during one month.
In the summer 2005, the manager of Scunthorpe United recalled the striker’s encouraging performance and lodged a tempting bid for him. The bid was accepted, and Andy joined the new club, where he managed to clinch a regular spot in no time and become the pivot, who amassed 19 goals in 86 matches during two years.
In the summer 2007, the footballer completed a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers and spent three years with ‘The Wolves’ before being sent on loan to Welsh side Cardiff City, where he found the net two times in 16 games during half a year. From 2011 till the beginning of 2012, Keogh performed for Bristol City and Leeds United on temporary basis and chipped in three goals in 31 fixtures for both teams during his spells. After returning to his parent Wolverhampton Wanderers, the striker took his tally to 19 goals in 118 games by 2012.
In January 2012, Andy put pen to paper of a contract with Millwall and scored 16 goals in 40 matches for ‘The Lions’ as of January 2013.
From 2006 till 2008, the footballer went on to net one time in two games for the Republic of Ireland B and kicked three goals in four matches for the national U-21 squad. From 2007, he has been capped 26 times and contributed two goals for the senior national team.
