Andy King is a midfielder of Leicester City. He was born on 29 October 1988 in Barnstaple, England.
In 1998, King joined the academy of Chelsea, where he started to perform for the junior squad and take part in various youth competitions. It took the footballer six years to develop his skills to the level, at which he could count on a place in the main team. However, ‘The Blues’ did not share Andy’s opinion.
The midfielder moved to the academy of Leicester City and managed to get ready for a professional start.
In 2006, King penned his first contract with the club and started to make occasional appearances. The footballer’s workmanship got better year by year, and he eventually gained the head coach’s confidence, which helped Andy feature in 190 matches and amass 42 goals as of November 2012.
In 2007, the midfielder was called up to the Wales national U-19 team. King was capped seven times for the squad and received an invitation to the U-21 team, where he made ten appearances and contributed two goals. From 2009 till November 2012, the footballer took part in 14 games and found the net one time for the senior national squad.
