German footballer Andy Nägelein was born on 5 October 1981 in Hong Kong and he currently plays as a midfielder for Biu Chun Rangers in the Hong Kong First Division League.
Andy began his professional career in Germany playing for lower-division clubs like SC 04 Schwabach, FC Schweinfurt 05, SC Feucht, Kickers Emden and SV Wacker Burghausen in between 2002 and 2009. In 2009, he got a first taste of the top-flight action featuring for the Cypriot First Division side APEP Pitsilia.
Born in Hong Kong, Nägelein sparked interest of numerous Asian clubs and in the 2010 season he moved to China where he joined Shenzhen Ruby in the Chinese Super League. Nägelein shortly established himself as a prominent player and got a regular place in the starting lineup. Overall he made a total of 40 league appearances for the Chinese side during a two-year spell. In August 2012, Andy Nägelein switched to Biu Chun Rangers and plays for the club today.
