Andy Wilkinson is a back of Stoke City. He was born on 6 August 1984 in Yarnfield, England.
After the end of his youth career in 2001, Andy penned a contract with Stoke City. The footballer was given an opportunity to come on the pitch several times during his first season so that the coaching staff could check his readiness. Wilkinson showed himself to good advantage, but the player had to gain more playing experience, which he could not do in his club yet.
In order to solve that problem, the management decided to send Andy on a season-long loan to Telford United in 2003. The back made eight appearances for the temporary team before continuing his performance on loan in Partick Thistle, where he featured in 12 games and netted one goal after joining it in the summer 2004.
In 2005 and 2006 Wilkinson played on loan for Shrewsbury Town and Blackpool, where he made total 16 appearances.
After the end of his last loan spell, Andy drew the attention of ‘The Potters’ head coach, who wanted to be convinced in his readiness and fitness. The footballer began to get more playing time, which, without any doubts, made him more confident about the future in Stoke City. The back took part in 131 matches of the club till the summer 2012 and continues to perform for it up till now.
