Angus MacDonald is a defender of Reading. He was born on 15 October 1992 in Winchester, England.
After the footballer spent some time in several medium-level English academies, he joined the youth system of Reading in 2007. Angus started to perform for the U-17 squad and played for it during two years before being invited to the U-19 team, where he spent two years as well. After all that time, MacDonald managed to develop his best defensive qualities, which became his ace at the moment the coaching staff decided on his transfer to the main team.
In 2011 Angus penned his first professional contract and moved to the full squad of Reading. The same year he was sent on loan to Basingstoke Town so that the young footballer could gain his first performing experience. MacDonald made eight appearances and netted one goal during six months and went on half-a-year loan to Torquay United, where he took part in two games.
In the summer 2012, the footballer completed a move to AFC Wimbledon on a six-month loan.
From 2007 till 2010, Angus was capped ten times for the England national U-16 and U-19 teams.
