A Brazilian footballer Anselmo Tadeu Silva do Nascimento performs for a Brazilian Serie B side Ceará as a forward. Tadeu was born on 24 October 1980 in Campo Grande.
In 1998, Anselmo joined Palmeiras and his career began. He was still an inexperience player at that time and wasn’t able to produce a solid performance. The footballer was not a part of the head coach’s plan and he had to be satisfied with playing time given only during the trainings. Tadeu remained at the club until 2003. He didn’t manage to attract the coach’s attention and spent his career at Palmeiras as an unused substitute player.
From 2003 to 2008, the forward spent time trying to make teams with various Brazilian clubs, but he stayed at each of them for no longer than a year. He was eager to get the place in the starting eleven, but none of those clubs provided him with such an opportunity. During that period Anselmo performed for such clubs as Gama, Ponte Preta, Paysasndu, Boavista, Vasco da Gama, Náutico and several others. Those constant moves had some adverse consequences on the footballer’s shape. Tadeu understood that he had to change the situation otherwise his career could have finished too quickly. He trained ground and was noticed by the scouts from the Swedish club HBK.
Halmstads Bollklubb was looking for a replacement for the left footballer. Anselmo was selected and the contract was penned in 2008. The forward earned an opportunity to start a new wonderful stage in his career. He racked up 24 goals in 68 matches for the Swiss side. In 2011, Tadeu had a short spell at Botafogo and moved to Atlético Goianiense. In 2012, the footballer’s contract was bought out by the Chinese side Nanchang Hengyuan. However, the following year Anselmo returned to his honeland to join Serie B club Ceará.
