Ante Jazić. Biography

Ante Jazić is a Canadian defender currently playing for American club Chivas USA in Major League Soccer.

Ante started out his football grooming at a hometown Scotia Soccer Club. He signed his first professional contract with a Croatian club Hrvatski Dragovoljac in 1997 where he played for two years. Thanks to his constantly good club performances, Jazić was spotted by Hajduk Split scouts and joined the top-flight club of the Croatian first division in the 1999/2000 season. In between 2000 and 2004, the Canadian footballer played at the Austrian side Rapid Vienna where he amassed 107 first league appearances for the four-year spell. In the 2004/05 campaign, Jazić featured for Kuban Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League and was a part of Los Angeles Galaxy for the next two seasons. In January 2009, Ante got a toehold at Chivas USA where he plays till the date.

Ante Jazić is a regular Canadian international since 1998. He recorded 9 FIFA World Cup qualification matches making a total of 36 international appearances up to September 2012.
