Anton Ferdinand is a defender of QPR. He was born on 18 February 1985 in Peckham, England.
In 2003 Anton became a professional player of West Ham after graduating from the academy of the club. At first, Ferdinand made occasional appearances, getting used to the life of ‘The Hammers’. However, the footballer was soon given an opportunity to come on the pitch in the starting line-up, which was a very successful move from the head coach, because Anton became the pivot of the defense for four following years. From 2003 till 2008, Ferdinand made 138 appearances and netted five goals for the London side club.
In the summer 2008, English side Sunderland completed the signing of Anton, who became a regular of the new club for the 2008/2009 season and featured in 85 games. The footballer is solid, experienced and skilled, which helps him to keep his imperious form. London side QPR took an interest in the opportunity to secure Ferdinand’s services, but the management failed to agree all peculiarities at once. However, in the summer 2011, the parties completed the negotiations and Anton spent the 2011/2012 season being the key defender of the new club. In January 2013 Anton went to Turkey for a 5-month loan run with Bursaspor.
From 2003 till 2007, Ferdinand was capped 23 times for the England national U-18, U-20 and U-21 teams.
