Archimede Morleo is a left defender for Bologna. He was born on 26 September 1983 in Mesagne, Italy.
Before joining Lecce senior squad Archimede played for the club’s youth team.
In 2002 Archimede Morleo signed his first professional contract with his alma mater Lecce. Later that year he was loaned to one of the oldest Italian clubs Carrarese. During the 2002/03 season Morleo made 12 appearances in Serie C.
In the next season Morleo was loaned to Sora, where he featured in 28 matches during the 2003/04 season. After the season was over Sora management decided to sign Morleo on a permanent contract. During the 2004/05 season Archimede Morleo made 30 appearances and scored 3 goals for the club.
In 2005 Morleo transferred to Cisco Roma, where he made 28 appearances during the 2005/06 season.
In 2006 Archimede was loaned out to Catanzaro. In 2007 he signed for the club on a permanent basis. Due to injury Morleo missed a few seasons and made only 14 appearances in the 2007/08 season. In 2008 Archimede moved to Crotone and successfully played for the club from 2008 to 2010. The Italian defender made 68 appearances and netted 6 goals for Crotone.
In 2010 Bologna signed Archimede in a co-ownership deal with Crotone. Morleo’s debut season at Bologna was idle though, as he made only 9 appearances. In June 2011 Bologna bought full rights for Archimede. To date Morleo made 38 appearances for Bologna.
