Ard van Peppen is a left back of Roda. He was born on 26 June 1985 in Delft, Netherlands.
Ard’s youth career took off in local DHC Delft, from where the footballer moved to the academy of Vitesse Delft. Van Peppen stayed there till he was offered to join the youth team of Sparta Rotterdam. The move to Rotterdam gave Ard an opportunity to demonstrate his skills to the coaching staff of top-flight Dutch side Feyenoord that admitted the back to the youth system of the club after a successful trial.
In 2004, the footballer penned a two-year contract with Feyenoord and went on loan to Excelsior, where he made 19 appearances during the 2005/2006 season.
In 2006, De Graafschap secured the back’s services and gave him an opportunity to become a regular. Van Peppen took part in 39 fixtures and netted two goals for the club during two years.
In January 2008, the player sealed a loan deal with Excelsior once again, but this time, the management of the temporary team decided to offer Ard a contract on permanent basis.
Van Peppen’s move to the new club did a lot of good to him, because the back got playing practice and a place in the starting XI. The footballer featured in 72 games and fired one goal for Excelsior during two seasons.
In the summer 2010, Eredivisie side RKC Waalwijk lodged a tempting bid for the player, who put pen to paper of a three-year contract. Ard made 94 appearances and went on to net five times for the new club.
In 2013 Roda secured his services.
