Aristide Bancé was born on 19 September 1984 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. He is a player of FC Augsburg and the Burkina Faso national team.
In his youth Bancé played in his native Ivory Coast. But after the country’s civil war had begun, his family moved to Burkina Faso.
Aristide started his professional career as a center forward in Stade Abidjan in 2000. In 2002, he joined RFC Daoukro, after having performed for a year in Athlétic Adjamé. In the 2002/2003 season, a player joined the capital club Santos Burkina. In 2003, Aristide moved to Belgium and signed the contract with Lokeren. In the summer of 2006, Bancé went to Ukraine to play for Metalurh Donetsk, where he appeared in a total of twelve games in the period of two years. Therefore, the footballer was first given on loan to Germinal Beerschot and then to Kickers Offenbach. In 2008, the player signed a deal with Mainz where he netted overall 24 goals in 62 appearances, becoming the top scorer of the club. In 2010, the player moved to Al-Ahli Dubai.
In the 2011/2012 season, he was sent on loan to the Qatari side Umm-Salal and then to a Turkish club Samsunspor. When Aristide performed for Samsunspor, the club was promoted to the country’s top division, but the contract was terminated in March 2012.
After that Aristide became a player of FC Augsburg, with which he signed a contract until 2015.
One year later he was loaned to Fortuna Dusseldorf.
At the national level Aristide Bancé was called up to the Burkina Faso team for the first time in 2003. He has performed in 33 games and has scored eight goals as of September 2013.
