Arnaud Le Lan is a retired French defender.
Le Lan started his professional career with playing for Lorient in Ligue 2. His debut took place in the 1996/1997 season. He played one more match before being promoted to the Premier League. On 25 September 1998, he appeared in Ligue 1 for the first time. But the club didn’t manage to consolidate its position and returned into the second Division. After the next two seasons, the club succeeded in getting into the top league again.
2001 was a very fruitful year for the Frenchman, as he won the French Cup and his team became a finalist of Coupe de la Ligue. Bordeaux beat Lorient to prevent a clean sweep by France. In total, Le Lan scored 2 goals in 115 matches during 6 years spent with the club.
In 2002, Arnaud moved to Stade Rennais. His debut for the team happened on 31 August 2002 in the game against Bastia. For 3 years with the club, Le Lan had the good fortune to take part in the French Cup semifinal 2003. It was his breakthrough. During the spell, he came on the field 28 times.
In 2005, a new contract with En Avant Guingamp was penned. He managed to get into the starting eleven very quickly and on 29 July 2005 his debut for the team against Sedan happened. He stayed for the club three seasons, during which the footballer made 87 appearances.
In 2008, Arnaud was welcomed back to his parent club Lorient and played until retirement in 2013.
