Finally, Maire was appreciated in the club, and the contract was prolonged for another 2 years.
The 2007/2008 season disappointed club managers and the player. Two beginners were claiming for his place, and Arnaud sustained an injury and appeared only in 20 games of the season. In June 2009, his contract was not prolonged. After training during the summer with the national football team for one season Maire moved to RC Strasbourg. On 29 January, Arnaud Maire opened the scoring during the 13th minute against FC Racing. In 2010, the player signed a professional contract with AC Ajaccio.
