Artur Tlisov was born on June 10, 1982 in Cherkessk, Soviet Union. He currently plays as a midfielder for FC Kuban Krasnodar.
In 1998 Artur started his professional career at FC Nart Cherkessk and in 2000 went on at FC Tsentr-R-Kavkaz Krasnodar. In 2001 the player joined then top-flight representative FC Chernomorets Novorossiysk. There he featured in 22 matches and scored one goal. In 2002 Tlisov signed for PFCCSKA Moscow amassing 6 matches and one goal for two seasons. In 2003 Tlisov together with the team won the Russian Premier League champion’s title.
In 2004 Artur Tlisov left for FC Kuban Krasnodar. On July 29, 2007 he notched a terrific goal against FC Moscow which was named the best goal of the season. In 2008 the midfielder scored 7 goals in 41 appearances and became the runner-up of the Russian First Division championship. All in all, Tlisov made 264 league appearances for Kuban since 2004 till 2012. On April 2, 2011 Tlisov made his hundredth Premier League appearance. It came in the third-round game against FC Spartak Moscow.
