Ashley Barnes is a striker, born on 30 October 1989 in Bath, England.
In 2005, Ashley entered the academy of Paulton Rovers, where he performed for the U-19 team till 2007. In the summer 2008, the footballer went on a half-a-year loan to Eastbourne Borough and continued to develop his skills. Those six months were more fruitful for Barnes, as he managed to get on the scoresheet five times in eight fixtures. In January 2010, the striker went on loan again, this time to Torquay United, where he performed till the management loaned him out to Brighton and Hove Albion.
In the summer 2010, ‘The Seagulls’ secured Ashley’s services on permanent basis. The footballer became the anchor player in the 2010/2011 season and fired 53 goals in 170 fixtures for the club during four seasons.
In January 2014 Barnes moved to Burnley.
