Atiba Hutchinson is a midfielder of Beşiktaş. He was born on 8 February 1983 in Brampton, Canada.
Atiba’s career took off in Canadian side Brampton Braves, where he performed for the youth team of the club.
In 2002 Canadian side York Region Shooters penned a senior contract with the young player. However, Hutchinson did not stay in the new club for long and completed a move to Toronto Lynx the same year. The footballer made only four appearances for the new team during the 2002/2003 season.
In 2003 Atiba transferred to Swedish side Öster and became a regular in the new club, where he featured in 24 matches and found the net six times during one season.
Hutchinson spent the 2004/2005 season in Swedish side Helsingborg, where he took part in 49 games and fired six goals till 2006.
In 2006 the footballer’s career went forward at a steady gait, as he signed for Danish side Copenhagen and started to perform at the usual position of a midfielder. Being the anchor player since his arrival, Hutchinson made 140 appearances and amassed 22 goals for the club during four years.
In 2010 PSV Eindhoven secured the Canadian’s services and sealed a three-year deal with him. During three seasons for the Dutch team, Atiba managed to take part in 80 matches and get on the scoresheet four times.
In 2013 Hutchinson joined a Turkish side Besiktas.
From 2001 till 2004, the footballer performed for the Canada national youth team and made 29 appearances. From 2003, Hutchinson has been capped 60 times and contributed four goals for the full national squad as of October 2012.
