Avi Yehiel is a right back for Hapoel Be’er Sheva. He was born on 26 September 1979 in Israel.
Avi began his youth career at Gadna Tel Aviv Yehuda. Yehiel penned his first senior deal with Hapoel Petah Tikva at the age of 18. He stayed at the club for eight seasons, from 1997 to 2005, making a total of 143 appearances and scoring 1 goal.
Before the season 2005/06 season Avi Yehiel moved to Premier League side Maccabi Tel Aviv. The player almost immediately joined the main squad of the club, totaling 92 appearances and 2 goals by 2009.
In 2009 the defender returned to Maccabi Petah Tikva, to make 30 appearances and scored 1 goal during the season.
In 2010 Yehiel moved to his current Hapoel, where at present he boasts over 60 appearances.
From 1999 to 2001 Yehiel was part of Israel U-21. From 2005 to 2007 he was a player of the national team, winning a total of 4 international caps and scoring 1 goal.
