Avraam Papadopoulos is Greek defender currently playing for the top-flight Greek club Olympiacos.
He embarked on his professional career at Aris Thessaloniki in 2003. Avraam was initially deployed as an attacking midfielder or forward, but later on he opted for a position of the defender. Papadopoulos played 120 matches and scored 13 goals for his feeder club for a five-year stint there. Due to his string of constantly good performances, Aris FC finished as a runner-up in the Greek Football Cup twice in 2005 and 2008.
In July 2008, Papadopoulos was signed by Olympiacos from the Greek top tier for a fee of 2,5 million euros. He won the Superleague Greece thrice (in 2009, 2011 and 2012) and became the Greek Football Cup winner twice in 2009 and 2012.
Since 2008, Avraam Papadopoulos is capped to the Greece national team and made his international debut in a victory over the Czech Republic on 5 February. He was an instrumental player for the team during the 2010 World Cup.
