Ayoze Díaz Díaz was born in 1982 in La Laguna, Spain.
He started his youth playing career with local club Tenerife and proceeded with reserves and after that he was loaned to Lanzarote for one season.
In 2003 Ayoze signed with top division side Racing de Santander. There he spent four seasons and for one season he was loaned to Ciudad Murcia. The season 2007/08 Racing reached UEFA Cup qualification for the first time and Ayoze became the team’s regular player.
In summer 2008 Ayoze moved to RCD Mallorca signing a three-year contract. In his first season there he started as Enrique Corrales’s backup and finished the season as a starter. The following season he featured in 33 league matches helping Mallorca to finished fifth in La Liga and to qualify for the UEFA Europa League. That season he became the first-choice, not a backup to Enrique Corrales.
In summer 2011 he joined Deportivo La Coruña and played there for two seasons.
In January 2014 Ayoze joined a second-tier club Tenerife.
