Aythami Artiles Oliva was born in 1986 in Arguineguín, Spain. A Spanish football player currently plays for Las Palmas on the position of a central defender.
He started playing in his hometown with UD Las Palmas and played for them until the year of 2007, when he moved to Deportivo de La Coruña. During his full three seasons with Las Palmas Aythami appeared in 92 matches and scored 6 goals. Deportivo spent €600 000 for him and completed a five-year deal.
During his first year with the club Aythami appeared only once and in January 2008 he was loaned to Xerez, which played in the second division. The season 2008/09 was successful for Xerez as they got their first ever La Liga promotion.
The following season he reminded with the Andalusians and was the first-choice, nevertheless, they relegated from the top division.
In 2013 Aythami switched for Las Palmas.
In 2010, Aythami returned to Deportivo and on 7 November he scored his first goal for the team though the team eventually relegated from La Liga.
