Bakaye Traoré is a French footballer of Malian descent born on 6 March 1985 in Bondy, France. He is currently under contract with Italian giants AC Milan.
Before the year 2003, Bakaye played on the youth side for Villepinte FC. He got off to a flying start of his professional career with Amiens where Traoré scored 15 goals in 106 games during six-year stint at the club.
In the summer 2009, a promising central midfielder signed a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 club Nancy. Overall, he made a total of 73 appearances in Nancy’s colours and netted 11 goals for the club.
In May 2012, he was signed by Italian Serie A giants Milan.
Having played 7 games for the Rossoneri Traore was loaned to Kayseri Erciyesspor for the season 2013/2014.
Bakaye Traoré is a part of the Mali national football team. He made his international debut in February 2009 in a match against Angola. As of September 2013, the player has had 2 goals in 21 caps for Mali.
