Balázs Megyeri is a Hungarian footballer born on 31 March 1990 in Budapest. He currently plays as a goalkeeper for Olympiacos in the Greek Superleague.
Balázs began his football grooming at a hometown club Ferencvárosi TC in 2005 and went on spending the 2007/08 season with the English side Bristol City. In 2007, he embarked on his professional career signing for Ferencváros. In his debut season with the club, Megyeri was deployed predominantly as a backup player and managed only two appearances for the season. He enjoyed better fortune in the 2009/10 campaign as he broke into starting eleven and played 24 games.
In the summer 2010, Megyeri moved to Greece and signed for the giants Olympiacos. He made only three appearances as a third-choice goalkeeper in his debut season with the club. In the 2011/12 season, the Hungarian player cemented his place as a first choice and made a total of 22 appearances helping his team to win the Double.
On the international level, Balázs Megyeri was the part of the squad who finished third in the FIFA U-20 World Cup. Since 2010, he is called up to the Hungary U-21 team.
