Beg Ferati was born on November, 10 1986 in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia. He is a Swiss footballer of Albanian ethnicity.
When Beg was a child his family moved to Switzerland, to a town Pratteln. That is how Beg’s career started in the same-name football club based in the town. There he trained for five seasons and then transferred to FC Concordia Basel to continue his youth career. In Concordia he also spent 5 seasons and after that entered the world of senior football. First Beg’s step as one of a professional senior player was transfer to FC Basel. There he had 28 appearances for the reserve squad. Soon he returned to Concordia where took part in practically every match in the season 2006/07 and the first half of the season 2007/08 – in all, he played 47 games. It was time when he scored his first goal in his professional career. For the period from 2008 to 2011 he joined FC Basel again but now as a professional, and won three championships with the outfit. Soon due to his wonderful ability to choose position on field Beg was invited to SC Freiburg where appeared in five matches by the end of 2011/2012 season. His debut took place on July, 31 2011 in the match against SpVgg Unterhaching. In that game Freiburg lost 2 to 3 after penalty shootout.
On the international arena in the period from 2006 to 2008 Ferati had 12 appearances for the Swiss national U-20 and U-21 teams, and on November, 15 2006 he scored the only goal. His debut for the senior team took place on August, 4 2011 in the match against Liechtenstein. Then he came as a substitute in the 63rd minute.
