Ben Alnwick is a goalkeeper, born on 1 January 1987 in Prudhoe, England.
Ben spent his youth career in the academy of Sunderland, where he was given an opportunity to play for every junior squad and get a lot of performing experience. In 2004, the footballer gave the final touch to all preparations for a senior start and put pen to paper of a professional contract with ‘The Black Cats’ after passing all the necessary tests.
Alnwick made 19 appearances for the club during three years and transferred to capital side Tottenham, where he became a third-choice keeper. That is why, Ben had taken part only in one fixture for Spurs before the management decided he had to go on loan. From 2007 till 2011, the footballer featured in 27 matches for Luton Town, Leicester City, Carlisle United, Norwich City, Leeds United, Doncaster Rovers and Leyton Orient.
In 2012, Barnsley secured Alnwick’s services on permanent basis and saw him make ten appearances during one season. Later on he joined Charlton Athletic.
In January 2014 Alnwick moved to a League One side Leyton Orient. Later on he joined Peterborough United.
From 2002 till 2007, the goalie was capped 20 times for the England national U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-21 squads.
