Ben Gibson is a defender of Middlesbrough. He was born on 1 March 1993 in Nunthorpe, England.
In 2005, Ben joined the academy of Middlesbrough, where he began to get ready for a professional start. It took the footballer five years to perfect his skills to the maximum and receive an invitation to the main squad.
In 2010, Gibson penned his first senior contract with ‘Smoggies’, but failed to make any appearances during his début season. He managed to take part only in one match for the club before being sent on loan to Plymouth Argyle, which saw him feature in 13 games during six months. At the beginning of 2012, the defender sealed a temporary deal with York City and made eight appearances for the team. In the summer 2012, Ben went on loan to Tranmere Rovers and took part in 20 fixtures for the new club during his spell.
From 2009 till 2011, the footballer was capped six times and contributed one goal for the England national U-17 and U-18 squads.
