Ben Hamer is a goalkeeper, born on 20 November 1987 in Chard, England.
In 2006, Ben graduated from the academy of Reading and was offered to pen a professional contract. The footballer accepted the offer and was immediately sent on loan to Crawley Town, where he took part in 45 fixtures during one season.
In 2007, the keeper sealed a six-month loan deal with Brentford, but his spell at the club was extended several times and ended only in 2011. Ben was given a regular place between the posts in the 2008/2009 season and made 85 appearances for the club during four years. In January 2011, the footballer went on loan to Exeter City and featured in 18 games during six months.
In the summer 2011, Charlton Athletic secured Hamer’s services on permanent basis. The player became a first-choice goalkeeper at once and took part in 41 matches for ‘The Addicks’ during his début season.
In 2014 Hamer signed for Premier League-bound Leicester City.
