Benoît Trémoulinas is a French footballer who operates as a left back at Dynamo Kyiv.
Trémoulinas began his career at his native town’s club Lormont. In 1994 he signed a youth contract with Bordeaux. He spent about 7 years in the youth team of the club, one more year in CFA before he was called up to the senior team to prepare for the 2007/08 season. It was followed by the signing of a professional contract. The footballer was included in the reserve team as a backup for Florian Marange. Trémoulinas made his professional debut on 15 August 2007 in a match against Le Mans. He appeared in only 9 games in the division; however he was regularly playing for the club in the 2007/08 season in UEFA Europa League where he featured in 7 games scoring his first European goal to the Greek Panionios.
Gradually Laurent Blanc inserted Trémoulinas into the national team to play in the 2008/09 season ignoring other defenders despite the fact that they were more likely to participate in important matches. Trémoulinas appeared in the final as a substitute in the 17th minute; however he was also substituted after the first half because of a serious injury. Nevertheless the team won the game and the footballer got his first well-deserved reward. After the final Trémoulinas appeared in the starting lineup in the first five matches helping Bordeaux to get the first champion’s title since 1999.
On 29 May 2009 Trémoulinas was rewarded with the extension of his contract according to which the footballer was to play for the club up to the June of 2013. After 165 matches for Girondines the player moved to Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv.
On 5 August 2009 Trémoulinas was called up to the French National team by Laurent Blanc to feature in a friendly match against Norway on 11 August 2010.
