Beram Kayal is an Israeli footballer, currently playing for Celtic as a midfielder. He was born in 1988 in Jadeidi, graduated from Maccabi Haifa and went on his senior career with the club. In 2006 he made his first appearance for the senior squad in a 2-1 victory over Maccabi Petah Tikva. Until the 2007/08 season he was used irregularly but since then was one of the team’s key players.
In the summer of 2010 Kayal left Israel for Scotland and signed a four-year contract with Celtic. On 19 August 2010 he made his first appearance for the Scottish Premier League side in the match against FC Utrecht. In September he picked up an injury and returned in December. Kayal proved himself a good player and was named the SPL Player of the Month in January 2011. In December 2011he was injured and that kept him aside for more than four months.
Kayal was a part of the Israel U17, U18, U19 and U21 teams. On 6 September 2008 he earned his first cap for the Israel national team.
