Bo Svensson, a professional footballer from Denmark, was born on 4 August 1979 in Aalborg.
Initially Svensson performed in the youth team FC Copenhagen. Together with the capital club he won the Danish Superliga championship in 2001, 2003 and 2004, and also took part in the finals of the National Cup. In February 2006, Svensson joined Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Bo played his first Bundesliga match on 8 February 2006 against Schalke 04. A week later, he netted his first goal in the match against Duisburg, equalizing the game. In 2007 Bo left the club and joined Mainz-05. Due to an injury at the beginning of the 2007/2008 season the player got into the first team squad, but was soon forced out of it by the rivals. Some time passed before he returned to the first team. In 2009, he appeared in 26 games. In total, for the German team the player made 72 appearances and scored only one goal.
Bo Svensson made his debut for the Denmark U-21 team in 2000. In February 2006, he performed in the match against Paraguay. In March 2011, Svensson was again called up to the national team. On 26 March 2011, he played against Norway. Thereafter he performed for Denmark once more. For the national youth team he has played only two matches. Svensson hasn’t got on the scoresheet at the national level so far.
