Robert Francis Convey, commonly known as Bobby Convey, is an American footballer who plays as a midfielder for American side Sporting Kansas City.
He embarked on his professional career at DC United in 2000. Bobby shortly brought out his full potential and became a regular starter for the club, aged only 17. In his debut season he made 18 starts out of 22 games for the United. Bobby ended his four-year stint at the club with 8 goals and 89 league appearances. In July 2004, Convey signed a deal with the English side Reading which then competed in the second division. His strong performances in the 2005/06 season earned the club a promotion to the Premier League. In 2009, Convey moved to San Jose Earthquakes where he featured in 75 matches for two seasons. In 2012, he signed for Sporting Kansas City.
Bobby Convey was awarded his first international cap to the United States national team in a match against Mexico in October 2000. Overall, he made a total of 46 appearances for the national squad up to 2008.
