Boy Waterman is a goalkeeper of PSV. He was born on 24 January 1984 in Lelystad, Netherlands.
Boy’s career took off in Heerenveen, and the footballer made his competitive début for the club on 25 February 2004 in the home 4-1 victory over Ajax.
In April 2007, AZ management agreed Waterman’s transfer and let him on the field for the first time on 10 February 2007 in the Eredivisie match against Willem II. The keeper’s maiden European appearance came four days later in the UEFA Cup 3-3 draw with Turkish side Fenerbahce.
On 22 February, Boy should have finalized a move to Norwegian side Viking FK, but the signing was not completed because of the footballer’s trauma. After a complete recovery, Waterman penned a temporary contract with De Graafschap, where he made 33 appearances. On 13 June 2011, the keeper’s services were secured on permanent basis by Alemannia Aachen, where Boy made his début on 16 July 2011 in the away 1-0 loss to Erzgebirge Aue. The footballer featured in 30 games for the club during one season before moving to Dutch side PSV on a one-year contract on 26 May 2012.
In 2007 head coach of the Netherlands national youth team Foppe de Haan invited the keeper to take part in the European U-21 Championship. Waterman performed as a first-choice goalkeeper and won the first match against Israel (1-0), but got back injury in the following game - against Portugal - and was replaced by Kenneth Vermeer. The Dutchmen celebrated a victory in that match, made their way through to the semifinals and opened themselves a way to the 2008 Summer Olympics.
