Bruno César is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays for Al-Ahli Jeddah as a striker. He was born on 3 November 1988 in Santa Barbara d’Oeste.
Bruno’s junior career started off in 2005 at Bahia, where he stayed for a year only. He continued to train at the academies of such clubs as São Paulo and Palmeiras, but didn’t perform for any of them for a very long time. Grêmio happened to become the last point in his youth career, before Bruno got promotion to the professional football.
In 2009, his first professional contract was signed with Ulbra. For the half and a year spent with the club, the striker didn’t get a single chance to appear on the field. The same year a move happened. César became a member of Noroeste, where the situation repeated. That’s why during 2009, Bruno changed three clubs. The third one turned to be Santo Andre´, where the striker stayed for a year scoring 1 goal in 2 games.
Finally, in 2010, the footballer made a full-scale start at the professional level with Corinthians, Brazil. He managed to gain the place of the first striker almost immediately after the beginning of the 2010/2011 season. Over the course of a year, Bruno made 31 appearances and scored 14 goals. That season helped the player to get firmly established and to gain self-confidence. His name became famous for clubs all over the world.
In the summer 2010, a long-term contract was penned with Benfica. Bruno clinched his place in the starting eleven and was part of the squad till 2013 when he moved to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli Jeddah.
In 2011, César was twice capped for the national squad of Brazil.
