Bruno Ecuele Manga is a central defender of Lorient. He was born on 16 July 1988 in Libreville (Gabonese Republic).
In 2006, the Gabonese footballer got an opportunity to give a start to his professional career. He joined FC 105 Libreville that year, but didn’t stay with the club for long. He was lucky to get an offer from Girondins Bordeaux B just within 6 months of playing for Libreville. Signing the contract gave Bruno chance to participate in UEFA European Championship. He was let on the pitch 40 times during his first season. That proves the fact Manga was a part of the head coach’s plan, despite being a substitute player. His confident game and ball possession impressed the management of the temporary club. So the decision to offer the player a contract on permanent basis was adapted unanimously. In 2007, he was transferred to the main team.
In 2008, Bruno was sent on loan to Rodez, where he made 15 appearances during half a year.
In the summer 2008, he received a proposal from Angers to become a member of their team. He accepted the offer and after all the controversial issues were settled Manga turned into an anchor player of the squad. He spent two years with the club. He amassed 5 goals in 58 games during the spell.
In the summer 2010, he penned a contract with French side Lorient in Ligue 1 and officially became a first team regular.
Bruno Manga has played for the Gabon national team since 2007.
