Cafu’s full name is Marcos Evangelista de Moraes. He is a former Brazilian footballer. He was born in 1970 in São Paulo and began his professional playing career at local football club São Paulo. Gradually he became the team regular and was a part of the squad winning Copa Libertadores in 1992 and 1993. In 1994/95 he played for Juventude and Real Zaragoza, in 1996/97 he stayed with Palmeiras.
Cafu moved to Italy and signed for Roma in 1997 and played for them until 2003 and in 2001 they won Serie A and Supercoppa Italiana. Then he switched to AC Milan and they won Serie A and Supercoppa Italiana in 2004, UEFA Super Cup in 2003 and 2007, in 2007 they were UEFA Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup.
Cafu made his debut for the Brazil national team on 12 September 1990 and throughout his international career he earned 142 caps, helped Brazil to win the 1994 and 2002 FIFA World Cup, in 1997 and 1999 they claimed Copa América victories. In 1997 Brazil was FIFA Confederations Cup winner.
