Carlos Zambrano is a Peruvian footballer, who currently plays centre back for Eintracht Frankfurt.
In 2000 he started his career at AD Cantolao. In 2005 Carlos was representing Peru at the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qualifications and was noticed by Schalke 04. In 2006 he joined this German club and overnight became a starter at the youth team of the outfit. In 2007 he was listed to the reserve squad but got only one appearance there.
In the next season Carlos was confided a position in the first team but that year wasn’t given a single opportunity to appear for it. His debut occurred on August 1 in the game against TSV Germania Windeck. And the date of his first goal and first fielding in the starting line-up became congruent on August 8, 2009 in the game with FC Nürnberg when he was present on the field for all 90 minutes and powered in. In 2010 the defender was loaned to FC St. Pauli and his next two seasons passed in this team from Hamburg. Here he had 26 appearances and kicked one goal. In 2012 Carlos Zambrano signed an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt.
At the end of the March 2009 Zambrano played his first match for the Peruvian national team and scored. It was in the 45th minute when he poked the ball home into the net of Costa Rica national team. His outstanding performance during that game reserved him the starting spot position in Peru national football team.
