In 2001, Cássio got an opportunity to start his professional career at Olaria, where he performed during a year. The goalkeeper got few chances to operate as a starter of the squad. He made only occasional appearances for the new squad.
In 2004, Anjos moved to América-RJ from his native town, Rio de Janeiro. He didn’t stay for long with the club, as in the summer 2004 he opted to join Vasco Gama. There he got more playing time, featuring in 66 matches during three seasons.
In 2008, a new contract was signed with Macaé, where the player was groomed during half a season, until he was noticed by Paços de Ferreira. Cassio played for Pacos during five seasons before moving to Arouca in the summer 2013.
