A French footballer Cédric Bakambu plays as a striker for FC Sochaux-Montbéliard.
The player’s football career started with Ivry from USA. But then he was spotted by scouts from various training centers. However it were Sochaux managers who managed to persuade Cédric’s parents claiming that only that club could provide the boy with education on a decent level. Bakambu entered Sochaux youth system when he was 15 where he immediately acquired the reputation of a promising young player. The striker made himself known due to his goal in the 2009/10 Coupe Gambardella Final.
In the 2011/12 season on the sixth day of the competition he made his Ligue 1 debut against Lille OSC. He scored his second goal in the match against Toulouse FC owing to the pass made by Marvin Martin.
On 30 July 2010 the player along with France U-19 team became the winner of the UEFA European Football Championship after a glorious 2-1 victory over Spain.
