Cédric Carrasso is a goalkeeper at Bordeaux. He was born on 30 December 1981 in Avignon, France.
Cédric’s youth career began in his home town. He started appearing for the youth team of the local club Avignon. In 1999 Cédric was tried out by Marseille scouts who later offered him a position. Cédric got an opportunity to attend the club’s academy and feature for the youth team.
In 2001 Cédric signed his first professional contract with Marseille. However the club had their own vision of how Cédric’s career was to develop.
In 2001 Cédric joined the English club Crystal Palace on loan. He got to play only one match at a local championship over a season.
From 2002 to 2004 Cédric was featuring for Marseille sharing the goalkeeper’s position with the club’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The footballer was released on loan to Guingamp for the 2004/05 season. Although he was a temporary player he was trusted to feature for the club during the whole season.
By 2008 the period of loans was over in Cédric’s career. He signed a contract with Toulouse. From the first round the footballer occupied the position of the first-choice goalkeeper and appeared in many matches of the season. Cédric defended the goal in 37 matches of the season.
Cédric’s good play made Bordeaux notice the goalkeeper. In the summer of 2009 he transferred to Bordeaux. The footballer signed a contract up to 2015.
In 2009 Cédric was given a call up to the French national team.
