Cédric Makiadi was born on February, 23 1984 in Kinshasa. He is a Congolese football player who currently plays for the German club Werder Bremen.
Cédric comes from Congo. He started to play football when he was nine, after he and his family had moved to Germany. In 1998 Cédric joined VfB Lübeck where he spent 4 years. In 2002 Cédric drew attention of VfL Wolfsburg managers, and that became the reason of his transfer to a new club. For a year he played for the junior team and then moved to the reserve squad. However, he was also capped for the main squad and scored his first Bundesliga goal fielding in the 34th round of the season 2005/06 in the match versus Kaiserslautern. The next year he became a first-string player for the club competing in the German top division.
However, the ambitions of the main squad were too high for Cédric to play there, and that is why in 2008 at first he was loaned to MSV Duisburg where he scored sixteen goals in 33 games, and then was transferred to SC Freiburg. On August 1, 2009 he came on field in the first round of DFB-Pokal 2009/10. In March 2011 Cédric extended his contract till 2013.
At the end of the 2012/2013 season the player joined Werder Bremen.
As for the international career, for quite a long time Cédric was in two minds deciding what team to play for. In the end he chose the Congolese national team and made his debut there on June, 2 2007.
