Charles N'Zogbia is a midfielder of Aston Villa. He was born on 28 May 1986 in Harfleur, France.
In 1995 Charles joined the youth team of SC de Frileuse. N’Zogbia learned football in all its minutest details during three years and practiced during the matches of his junior team. In 1998 the midfielder’s performance drew the attention of Le Havre, which invited the young Frenchman on a trial. After Charles successfully passed all necessary tests, he was offered to join the academy of the club, where he spent six years before making a professional start.
In 2004 N’Zogbia accepted an offer of English side Newcastle United and moved to the Premier League club. That kind of start determined the footballer’s future career and he always lived up to the expectations by demonstrating confident play and outstanding skills. From 2004 till 2009, Charles made 118 appearances and netted nine goals for ‘The Magpies’.
In 2009 Wigan lodged a bid for the footballer, which was accepted. After receiving a positive answer, the club initiated the negotiations concerning the terms of the transfer. In the summer the same year, N’Zogbia put pen to paper of the contract. The midfielder became the pivot of the new team, featured in 83 matches and fired 15 goals during two years.
In 2011 Charles completed a move to Aston Villa, where he continues to perform up till now. The 2011/2012 season turned out to be as successful as every previous season of his career, because the footballer took part in more than 30 games and found the net two times.
From 2007 till 2009, N’Zogbia made 13 appearances for the France national U-21 team. He also was capped two times for the full national squad from 2010.
