Charlie Austin is a striker of Queens Park Rangers. He was born on 5 July 1989 in Hungerford, England.
From 1999 till 2004, Charlie was a trainee of Reading academy, where he developed his skills and proved to be a capable and promising footballer. However, the management of the club did not offer Austin a senior contract.
In 2004, the striker penned his first professional contract with AFC Newbury and spent one season with the team before transferring to Thatcham Town, where he showed his talent and drew the attention of the head coach at once. Charlie became a regular and made stellar display during the 2005/2006 season.
In 2006, the footballer completed a move to Kintbury Rangers and netted 20 goals in 27 fixtures for the club during one season. The following year, Austin sealed a deal with Hungerford Town, but managed to fire only five goals in 30 games during one year.
In 2008, the striker put pen to paper of a contract with Poole Town and amassed 48 goals in 42 matches for the team during the 2008/2009 season, which became his personal and club record. From 2009 till 2011, Charlie featured in 54 fixtures and kicked 31 goals for Swindon Town, which made him a transfer target for many English teams.
In the summer 2011, Austin’s services were secured by Burnley, where the footballer went on to net 41 times in 82 matches before being snapped by Harry Redknapp’s QPR in August 2013.
