Spanish footballer José Manuel Flores Moreno is a centre back of Swansea City.
His professional career took off in Cádiz B in 2005. In 2006/2007 Moreno managed to take part in three games of the main team. In the summer 2007, the back went on loan to Portuense and later continued his spell in Barcelona B, where he made 13 appearances and chipped in two goals.
In 2008 Chico penned a contract with Almería and became the main team player rather soon. He took part in 20 games during his first season, increasing that number to 27 matches in the following season despite skipping a month due to an injury.
At the end of July 2010, Moreno finalized a deal with Genoa, which bought the player for €5 million. Chico admitted that his interest was mainly financial as the club offered him better contract than other challengers. He made his début for the new team on 19 September in the Serie A match against Parma, coming on as a substitute.
At the end of July, the footballer transferred to Mallorca, where he performed on loan during one season.
On 10 July 2012, Moreno penned a contract with Swansea City on permanent basis. Chico was capped three times for the Spain national U-21 team and managed to take part in the 2009 European U-21 Championship.
