Chris Burke is a midfielder, born on 2 December 1983 in Glasgow, Scotland.
In 1999, Chris became a trainee of Celtic Boys Club, where he spent one year and gained his first experience due to performing for the junior squad. The following year, the footballer moved to the academy of Rangers. It took him two years to get ready for a professional start.
In 2002, Burke penned his first senior contract and netted 11 goals in 96 fixtures for Rangers during seven years. The midfielder was mainly used as a substitute, but the head coach gave him several chances to come on the pitch in the starting line-up, when Chris was at the height of his form.
In 2009, the footballer drew the attention of Cardiff City and finalized a move to the new team. He became the pivot really soon and amassed 15 goals in 102 games from 2009 till 2011.
In 2011, Burke sealed a deal with Birmingham City and fired 28 goals in 155 games for the club. In the summer 2014 he moved to Nottingham Forest.
From 2004 till 2005, the midfielder featured in two matches for the Scotland national U-21 squad. In 2006, he debuted for the full national team.
