Chris Wondolowski is an American footballer born on 28 January 1983 in Danville, California. He currently plays as a forward at San Jose Earthquakes from MLS.
Chris began his youth career at Chico State Wildcats in 2001. In 2004, he signed his first professional contract with Chico Rooks but in a short time moved to San Jose Earthquakes. However, Wondolowski played two MLS games with the club featuring mostly for the reserve squad.
In 2006, Wondolowski stroke roots at Houston Dynamo. He played his first official game for Dynamo in a match against Chicago Fire on 30 August 2006. The forward recorded two MLS Cup wins during his four-year stint at the club.
In June 2009, Wondolowski signed for San Jose Earthquakes where he plays till the date. It was at the Quakes where his career really picked up steam. He cut a brilliant figure in the 2010 season scoring 18 goals in 28 league games. Thanks to these terrific performances Wondolowski was given the MLS Golden Boot and the MLS Best XI awards twice.
Chris Wondolowski is an international for the United States national team since 2009. He made his debut in a friendly match against Chile on 22 January 2011.
