Christian Alfonso López is a Spanish footballer playing an attacking midfielder.
Alfonso became a part of RCD Espanyol when he joined the club in 2002 aged 13 after leaving CE L’Hospitalet. Two years later he returned to Hospitalet where he debuted as a professional appearing in two Segunda B games in the season 2007/08. His team suffered relegation but Christian became an integral part of the squad that won promotion back in 2010. The next season the player contributed with 10 goals in 30 games to help his side retain their position to the second league.
In March 2011 Christian moved to Espanyol again together with his teammate Cristian Gómez. At first Alfonso was assigned to play for the B team but already on October 2 he was given a chance to shine in La Liga appearing to spend 16 minutes against Real Madrid. That match was lost to the ‘Blancos’ 0-4. During the rest of the season 2011/12 he took the pitch 4 more times.
In the season 2013/2014 Alfonso played on loan for Alcorcon.
