Christian Atsu

Christian Atsu Twasam is a midfielder of Chelsea. He was born on 10 January 1992 in Ghana.

Atsu started his youth career at the Cheetah academy where he acquired basic knowledge, reinforced them and managed to prepare for a more important stage of his career. In 2009 Porto invited the footballer to a try-out. Having passed all the fitness tests with success Christian joined one of the youth teams of his age. During these two years he not only maintained the achieved level but also developed his skills.

In 2011 Atsu penned his first senior contract with Porto. He was offered to join the club with the condition of being loaned. In the 2011/2012 season he was on loan at Rio Ave. The young footballer spent a complete season with this club, scoring 6 goals in 27 matches. He managed to confirm his status of a potential player and the right to appear in the starting eleven.

In 2013 Chelsea sealed a contract with a promising player and sent him on loan to Vitesse.
