Christian Lell is defender currently playing for Levante UD. He was born in 1984 in Munich, West Germany. Christian spent his youth playing career at Bayern Munich academy and after graduating in 2001 he joined the reserve team and played for the reserves and the first team until 2010. During his first season Lell featured in 10 matches in the Regionalliga Süd and made his Bundesliga debut, playing as a substitute in a 4-1 win against Hertha BSC in October 2003. Since 2004 he played during two seasons for 1. FC Köln II and 1. FC Köln. His first season wasn’t a prolific one but the second one was much better as Lell made much more appearances and got a starting position.
In June 2010, he left Bayern Munich for Hertha BSC. There he became one of the key players and after his first season the club got the Bundesliga promotion. In summer 2012 Lell left Hertha BSC after he had insulted the referee in the match against Fortuna Dusseldorf and in August he joined Levante UD.
He represented Germany at U-20 and U-21 levels.
