Christian Träsch had hid his football grooming at TSV 1860 München where he came up through all the youth levels. Having moved to VfB Stuttgart in 2007, he made his senior Bundesliga debut on 3 February 2008 in a match against FC Schalke 04.
Träsch scored his spectacular maiden goal for VfB Stuttgart on 5 October 2008 in a match against SV Werder Bremen. The goal was a volley, 25 meters from goal.
In January 2009 the Reds’ extended the contract with a skilful midfielder up to the summer of 2012, but in 2011 Christian made up his mind to move to VfL Wolfsburg for a reportedly transfer fee of €9 million.
Internationally, Christian Träsch earned recognition as a top-flight right-back of the Germany national football team.
