Christoph Janker is a German footballer, currently plays for Hertha BSC as a defender. He was born in 1985 and came through the youth ranks of DJK Vilzing, ASV Cham and 1860 Munich.
In 2003 he graduated from the academy and remained with the club, playing for the reserve team. In 2006 Janker signed for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. He helped his team to win Fußball-Regionalliga, in 2008 they won 2. Bundesliga and advanced to the top division. He stayed with Hoffenheim till the end of the 2008/09 season but at the end of his stay there he was involved into doping investigation and wasn’t accused of using doping.
In May 2009 Janker penned a three-year contract with Hertha BSC. At the end of his first season there the team faced relegation from the top flight, in his second season he almost wasn’t used and then was given more playing time.
